Expert Training in Hydronic Heating Installation and Design

HYDRONIC HEATING WITH BASEBOARDS AND RADIATORS: I=B=R SCHOOLS
For contractors, wholesalers, plumbers, and heating equipment installers, there is expert training available in basic Hydronic Heating system design & system installation.

This training is provided by the I=B=R Schools, which were developed by the manufacturers of the Hydronic Institute Division of GAMA. A new one-day course is now offered in I=B=R Schools across the country. This newly redesigned course will cover the following topics:

  • How to do heat loss calculations
  • Pipe sizing
  • Control selection and boiler sizing
  • Baseboard and radiation selection
  • Indirect water heating
  • Zoning
  • Wiring
  • Circulator selection

This course will enable installers to save time and money by designing, sizing, and installing the hydronic system right the first time. The homeowner saves money and the installer saves time and cost on equipment. For more details on I=B=R Schools, including scheduling and registration information, click here.

RADIANT HEATING: RADIANT PANEL ASSOCIATION (RPA)
For those wishing to expand their business to installing radiant heating systems or to advance their skills in radiant installations, expert training is available through the Radiant Panel Association (RPA). RPA offers schools across the country, a home study course, live online seminars, and a pre-recorded seminar over the internet. Participating in RPA training is the best way to substantially enlarge your base of satisfied customers who call back for additional work. You will learn today’s most up-to-date methods and techniques for installing radiant heating systems properly, efficiently, and economically!

RPA educational opportunities include the following:

RADIANT BASICS - A comprehensive introductory one-day course in hydronic and electric radiant panel heating components, installation, specifying and sequencing. Full day school, or thirteen live online modules, or home study course.

RADIANT ARCHITECTURE - A short course in understanding the benefits of radiant heating, how and where to apply it to buildings, specifying, and sequencing it into the building construction. Half day school, or three live online modules, or book.

RADIANT PRECISION - An advanced course in design and control of hydronic radiant panel heating systems. Full day school or home study course.

UNDER DEVELOPMENT

The following courses are being developed and will be available in the future through the RPA:

RADIANT ESSENTIALS - The theories and math behind system design.

ELECTRIC RADIANT - Although there is a segment in Radiant Basics on electric radiant heating, a separate course is also being developed.
